Throwback Thursdays

Today's Throwback is dedicated to all the fellas out there who can relate to wanting that one girl who was not giving it up back in the day. You know the one. She was cute. Maybe a little shy and quiet. Modest in her movements. Strict ass parents. She wasn't like the other girls. The speed racers who were already built like twentysomethings by the 8th grade. But every time you saw that girl, your thoughts verged on dirty. (Shameless 80's Come On, Eileen plug right there. It's all relative.) You knew you had to come correct because you couldn't approach her like you would the others. Well, The Roots obviously understood. So much so, that Black Thought breaks down what happens when you jump the gun and shortie shuts the whole shit down. Silent Treatment from 1995's Do You Want More?!? is one of the stand out tracks on that album. I never get tired of the video, either. Looks like she's rethinking the buttoned up lip (and jeans) by the end of it all. Hmm...
